comment Is it possible to buy a bulk of 1000s of basic bricks (mostly 2x4)?
@Ambo1000: I wasn't referring to the bulk bag. I'm referring to the cases of parts that they get shipped in for the Pick-a-Brick wall. They're smallish cardboard boxes just heaped with parts. It shouldn't be an issue of "getting there early" - all the Lego stores typically keep a stockpile of them in the back. Pretty much what Zhaph said, I guess!

If you can find a Lego store, they can sell cases of bricks if you ask the manager. They'll have to give you a price, but it's what the store itself uses to stock it's Pick-a-Brick wall.

comment What is piece 4211642 from 10179 - UCE Millenium Falcon?
I've put the UCS Millenium Falcon together, and do not recall this piece at all. My guess is that's its added to the instructions in error.

Wow. Great answer. I had not seen the slides before. You are correct, the slides explicitly state that the use we're now seeing is legal.

I hadn't seen that yet. It looks like they are keeping the technique to just a single stud in a single hole. That's interesting!

comment How can I easily remove a jumper plate without a brick separator?
There's actually a new Brick Separator coming that has an offset anti-stud that can be used for jumper plates. Check out this Brothers-Brick article: brothers-brick.com/2011/10/05/…
