comment What can cause programmed NXT 2.0 motors to misfunction when small resistance is applied?
How much power has the motor been programmed to run at?

comment Is there an official LEGO terminology for the features of basic pieces?
@pcantin I agree, this questions title is very similar but Jakob seems to be asking about the specific parts of a standard brick and not the names of individual bricks.

comment Building a full-size lamp using Lego bricks
I really, really would not recommend building something which involves cutting LEGO as the first step...

comment How to remove scratches from LEGO windshield parts?
I'm not so sure if it's as easy as 'cleaning' the windshield. A scratch leaves a lasting physical mark on the brick.

comment What are the exact dimensions of a DUPLO brick?
I can tell you a 2X4 Duplo Brick generated in MLCad is 63.5mm x 31.7mm x 23.4mm. I'm not sure about the space between studs and additional tube walls.

comment What's the exact opacity and translucency of transparent bricks?
If the question is 'How would you measure this?', you would probably be able to get some help from Physics.SE. I would assume you would need a fairly sensitive light sensor to detect the differences in reflected light.

The link in the answer is broken.

comment NXT screen either flickering or blank, what do I do?
@HaydenStudios As Joubarc said, I would swap the two steps around, especially if your answer is to be valuable for future visitors to this question.

comment How to straighten 32L axles?
Do you mean this part? I could imagine that would work. If you don't have enough you could just place one at each end and at regular intervals along the way.

comment Program a full rotation of a NXT motor in X seconds
@Zhaph-BenDuguid Yes, I do, but it hasn't helped much. My motor is weak at low power (4-12-ish), it would turn at a reliable speed so I increased the power of the motor and added a small gear to power a larger one.

comment Is it possible to obtain a replacement part for a collectible minifigure?
@JW8 True, but I did try using a set ID from one of the minifigure packets on the part replacement site but they don't do replacement parts for them.

comment How can the 12v Train 7823 Container Depot be used to load container ships as per Lego Catalogue
I think by 'crane' they are referring to the hook. The hook can be moved by rotating the winch tied to the string. Looking at the instructions there doesn't appear to be any other possibility.

@Pubby Drying models can take a long time and damage stickers. I find it doesn't get rid of the deeply ingrained dirt.

comment Cleaning between the studs of a build
I've tried a handheld car hoover but it doesn't have enough suction power. Instead I've been using a Dyson Animal vacuum to get rid of most of the dust.

comment How to build bridge using 4.5/12v train rails from 1969 Lego brochure
It's very difficult tell without getting a closer look at the set but it looks like they may be using curved track parts to build the bridge (I also thought these could be straight bricks under stress). As it's a Samsonite set it may be connected with specially designed pieces.

comment Does Toy 'R Us (or more expensive-than-average) retailers have more extra parts than average?
@mcqwerty: I wrote to LEGO customer services and I've included a quote from their response in my answer. Thanks for making the answer better!

The set you bought from Walmart, was it the exact same one or another set in the LOTR line of products?

comment New ways of connecting levels of multi-story modular buildings
I've considered the first option briefly before but the second idea sounds more interesting. I have many spare cheese slopes I can use but I would probably have to use tiles for the majority of the wall.

@Joubarc: I don't have enough tiles in the right colour, I can probably get rid of that as it might be too much to ask.
