What is different between the EV3 Home and Educational sets? @kabram this was written awhile ago, when little information was known about the EV3. According to the LEGO Education website, the rechargeable battery charger and software are not included in the education kit and must be purchased separately |

Will Mindstorms EV3 be backwards compatible? I think you're getting the digital EV3 sensors and the NXT sensors confused. The FAQ clearly states that the NXT sencors will work with the EV3, but not the other way around. See the quote in my answer |

What does EV3 stand for? Yes, and I have said so in my answer. The FAQ page was not available when I wrote my answer. Thanks for the heads-up though, I've updated my answer for an additional source link. Also, generally answers should be longer then a link and a line of text :) |
