comment How can EV3 Gyro sensor drift be handled?
At least 1. can be done by FLL teams. 2. can also be done, but . . . wow is that complicated. How many samples per second? Does it fix the problem? It is better than "Don't use the Gyro sensor." which is my current recommendation. I was hoping for something less complicated. I'm going to give this a day to see if there is another option.

comment Which move block to use with Gyro?
Spin, fast until close then slower with some compensation to handle over rotation. Motor, Steering, or Tank can work. "Close" depends on the robot.

comment Which move block to use with Gyro?
Not the Move Steering Block's steering parameter because it changes the center of the robot rotation. You probably want the robot to spin from the center of the robot so you're isolating the direction the robot is headed from the location of the robot. Not the Tank Move block power settings because the robot will stall at power levels near zero, so the robot will not want to reach the desired direction. The Gyro works, but using it is not always obvious. First you'll need to solve the reset and drift issues.

comment Faulty NXT Motor
Glad to hear you could fix your problem with electrical tape. I doubt that will help this "Faulty NXT Motor", since "very stiff to rotate manually" is an indication of broken gears inside to motor.

comment Teleoperated arm trouble
Are the robotic arm (motor) and the gyro sensor connected to the same EV3 brick? If two EV3 bricks, the programming is more about the communication protocol between the bricks.

comment How do I get the Mindstorm EV3 software to recognize an NXT brick via Bluetooth?
A screenshot of the lower right corner of the EV3 software running on your PC/Mac would help. There is a collapsible panel there that should list EV3/NXT(s) connected. Also, the NXT has to be ON.

comment Code for PID for EV3-g
Not clear whether "I used PID for NXT-G" means you wrote a PID in NXT-G for use on an NXT, or you bought a 3rd party PID control for use with an NXT. Let's assume you want to write the program. A starting point is: e-fisica.fc.up.pt/edicoes/8a-edicao/projectos/… (from a google search for "PID NXT").

comment Is there a time mechanism that can be added to an NXT program?
86400 seconds is a long time for an NXT. I think mine shuts down after ten minutes of inactivity. If it can be set to never shut down, how long do the batteries last?

comment Are NXT Light sensors compatible with EV3?
The question asks "is it as accurate as the EV3 light sensor?" The EV3 has a Color sensor. There are important differences, like the ability to turn on/off the 3 color lights. I'm not editing because the main question is about the Light sensor.

comment How can I remove permanent marker from a LEGO brick?
What color is the marker and the piece of plastic? What type of plastic? Most Lego pieces are ABS plastic, but I think the clear pieces are something else.

comment Can't get EV3 to work with touch sensors
Please provide a screenshot of the EV3 program. I suspect the sensor port number is the problem. The EV3 does some work in the background to get this to work automagically.

comment Robot that searches for lights
One light sensor pointed forward suggests that the robot should at regular intervals, stop turn right, turn left, and compare those light sensor values and compare to make sure the robot is still headed in the right direction. Start with just that. Spinning in a circle and finding the brightest value would be a next step.

comment Robot that searches for lights
"two light sensors to rotate my motors"? I'd suggest using just one light sensor and getting that to work before jumping to two.

Is the light sensor pointed forward?, down?, on a turntable?

NXTs can jump to the latest version of EV3 software. That version is downloadable from Lego.

comment Are there any additional robo center downloads for the nxt-g software?
Are you asking what happened to the NXT software robot plans? The ones that were animals, humans, machines, or vehicles? One my pc, there is one animal, a scorpion. It is located at file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/LEGO%20Software/LEGO%20MINDSTORMS%20NXT/engin‌e/EditorVIs/Academy%20Content/activities/animals/scorpion/01/slide-inst.html
