comment Was it once possible to put a 1x1 round into a minifig cup?
As the two given answers attest, I was indeed imagining this.

That's the answer, after 15 years the memory gets a bit foggy.

comment How to put LEGO together upside down
In addition, you can also use technic pegs to join bricks base to base. This is an, 'illegal technique,' however, as forcing the peg into the tube will weaken/bend the plastic slightly and make it weaker in the future.

29-1-14: I had stated that crocodiles don't float, I checked again and I was wrong.

comment Known quality control issue with 10234 Sydney Opera House?
Yes after years of collecting I have seen a few extra/missing parts. The same opera house also needed a few plates and a telescope that I had to take from my existing stock. I was wondering about the 35 left-sided/34 right-sided pieces on what should be a symmetrical build. I will read through the instructions again to see if my mirrored-building technique with opposite sides has confused me.

comment Which was the first set / minifig with two faces to choose from?
I have reviewed the answers given, and have looked at Bricklink again to check every set that every yellow-skinned double-sided minifigure head came in. (I ignored all non-yellow as they must have been made later.) The earliest if could find (and that I can remember buying) that match the emotions criterion are: 3626bpx116 and 3626bpx117 from 'Spiderman' and 'Studios' 2002/2003
