Have loved Lego for 38 years. Not a fan of the new 'branded' stuff that is all single-use crafted parts, more a Technics addict, and encouraging my kids to be the same.
My band has our own Lego figures, of which I am very proud (sadly not mass marketed)

How do the train wheels turn so smoothly? See @LarsTech's final sentence. It refers to the axle, not the wheel. |

How do the train wheels turn so smoothly? I think the question is referring to the axle friction, not the wheel on rail smoothness :-) |

Are Samsonite gears compatible with modern Technic gears? I loved the samsonite gears - they were much better for flexible geartrains. The photos are bringing back great memories |

How to minimise or remove sun-stains/fading from blocks? No reaction at all - admittedly, Milton is the bleach of choice in the UK for cleaning kids toys etc., so it is pretty mild. |
