Why did LEGO create different canister for the Visorak? I was figuring that color didn't matter just like my example about steal vs aluminum . . . but since there are THAT many different colors I'm starting to wonder. It's like minifigs where it's the same character but with a different facial expression and/or costume. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's a part of the "story" that goes with Bionicle. |

Is the PWM on the PF Servo motor different than the PWM from an Arduino? Oh, I've sacrificed plenty of extension cables . . . but I ran out! And not even the Lego Store carries them. |

Is the PWM on the PF Servo motor different than the PWM from an Arduino? I did a bit more reading and most servo motors are a three wire affair and that's what got me thinking I was missing a wire. I didn't add my pin wires to all 4 wires on the pf connector because for all the other motors they are not used and they just get in the way. Luckily I had parts to make a new connector . . . although RIP to one of my Lego LEDs :(. And these links are wonderful reads I hadn't seen before so thanks! |

You can further change it if you want (you're a moderator!) but if you have other suggestions I'll fix it further. And I should add some pictures . . . describing these things is difficult and a picture would make it way easier. I just hope this kind of question is relevant here . . . I was going to post in the electronics SE too but figured it out before I got to that. |

Why does LEGO now use studless technic designs? Yes! Sariel and the book are great. LOTS of things I've wondered about are answered in that book. It's inspiring to read about what's possible (and even impossible). That's why I link to the book whenever possible . . . every reader of this site interested in Technic/Mindstorms should get it. |

How to speed up the 4x4 Crawler truck 9398? Why oh why did Lego get rid of them!?!? Maybe is was the un-Lego-like remote. It's funny because I remember seeing these a long time ago and when I got into Lego later I was amazed there were no real remote control cars. This is why I need to buy all the cool sets as soon as they come out! Anyway . . . I think the PF XL motor would work well too . . . my fear is that I'll break some gears but that's the price to pay for a powerful and fast "crawler". |

How to speed up the 4x4 Crawler truck 9398? YES! I didn't think what "crawler" really meant until after I had it put together . . . and, yeah, I've seen some videos where people are disappointed with the torque and the differentials. I have one XL motor and I'm about to order another! |
