@oddtodd You are totally right and I have made the fix. I have no idea where that 6.4mm came from. Thanks for caching this mistake. (...and I'm like, I need a coffey)

Can you describe the result you're trying to achieve? I don't understand the "mix of two" part.

I'm riding this wave of visitors for 3 days now. This story is going around the whole net (ArsTecnica, Make blog, Arduino.cc, ... ). The cool thing for us, is that it created a massive flow of hits on our LEGO SE. I hope that many people join us on this site. What a promotion.

This is ABS plastic. Wouldn't a buffing wheel (I assume being driven by something like a Dremel) melt the plastic?

This simplification is probably is link to two factors: the sensors design itself and (most probably) keeping it simple for the target users. Do you need a wide range of color sensing?

What type of LEGO motor do you have? Also, what do you mean by 'it broke'? Does it turn slowly or not at all? Can you turn it by hand?

comment What would be a simple trebuchet design at the Minifigure scale?
@Ambo100 No specific problem. I could build one and I could also design one for my kids. I'm looking for other design(s) and (most probably) get really good ideas out of them. My kids and I will build 4 or more and it would be cool to have different ones.
