Ben Duguid works in London, UK as Head of Back-end Development for Hugo & Cat, mostly delivering web sites on various Microsoft based platforms.

He has run internal training sessions helping other developers get up to speed in the technologies he knows about, and tries hard to get others to do the same.

For what it's worth he is an MCPD in ASP.NET 3.5, and is currently a Pro-Tem Mod on LEGO Answers

Does it behave in a similar way if you use different ports for the motors?

Hi, as Kramii states, it would be really beneficial for everyone if you can accept Davids answer (click the little check mark below the vote count) - David and you will both get some rep, and other people will know what worked for you :)

comment Are there any lego base plates that are compatible with duplo?
@gev "First" is dependent on the sort order (Active/Oldest/Votes) ;)

While not meeting the request for a "baseplate" I think the Nilo Brick Mat could indeed be an answer if you're after a "one or the other" solution. That said, System Baseplates work nicely for both sizes, and will out-last your DUPLO interest ;)

comment We would like to stick lego bricks to metal - best glues please
See also this question on Gluing baseplates to wood. The slight difference here is that neither of the surfaces are porous - (props to @Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 for the reminder).

comment Any way to create a gear+chain, like for a bike?
I'd suggest that the Link Treads are probably a little wide for a bike, the Link Chain that Ambo100 mentions would be better, but rubber bands are easier to obtain.

Yes, I believe Glue-All is a PVA glue, but a number of their other products aren't (for example ProBond or Kragle I mean Krazy Glue)
