How would you make a good pivot-arm suspension? @pcantin I don't know how to explain it other than the axles on one side spin the opposite direction of the other. |

What is the basis of purism in LEGO building? I've edited it to try to have it focus on one question. I think some of what you want to know should be split into separate questions, although the one about other toys isn't really on topic. |

What is the basis of purism in LEGO building? -1 This is subjective. If you want to be pure, be pure. If not, don't. If you're entering a contest then use whatever the rules are. It's as simple as that. |

LEGO Safety: Known risks and how to avoid them? Electricity is such a minor issue. Kids won't get hurt unless they strip the wires and jam them through the skin into their chest next to their heart. |

What is a good ratio to buy bricks in? @ErikOlson I think it can be answered in a constructive way. There is a subjective part, but also an objective part relating to piece averages across sets. Experts know that there are a myriad of ways to build something, but they know that it is better to use piece A instead of B when building which is how ratios come about. |

Does the LEGO company sell LEGO brick organization bins? These are the best containers I've used: harborfreight.com/24-divider-storage-container-94458.html -- Pull-out bins tend to be a hassle when you want an individual piece as you have to search for it. |

What is inside the “weight element” brick? This seems like it's correct. I'm going to do what Zhaph said and test it with a magnet. |

What is the name of the Lego product that snaps together with knobs? @Dori I had forgotten most of the details since I haven't heard about it in 10 years. |
