Why does Lego restrict the number of colors per shape? Very interesting answer, I just have some doubts on the "pretty much every set has at least one element that is unique to that set" - while this may be true for licensed sets, for examples, I don't think it holds for more "mundane" ranges, especially Creator and possibly Technic. In most of the cases, uniqueness is more on the minifigs IMHO. |

Why are there “unique” characters in many sets? Minifigs aside, I still think the worst case of this is 79000 - Riddles for the ring which contains a duplicate of the one ring. Seriously, there are two in the box. The one ring. And I suppose it's not limited to that box either. |

NXT Bluetooth “Failed!” when turning on Well, on the other hand LEGO usually doesn't put any "bad juju" in its toys - they're meant to be safe for kids after all. So even if it, erm, bricked your brick, you'd probably still be able to get a replacement. But if you're in doubt, then by all means, contact the customer service first. |

Colouring bricks with the sun I'm surprised to see "white and blue" as most damaged colours - I would have spontaneously liste light gray rather than blue. No question on white, though. |
