Former LEGO ambassador and LEGO zealot as a whole. If I could give negative rep for people writing "Legos", I would. It's going to be very hard not to suspend any offender though.

NXT Bluetooth “Failed!” when turning on Well, thank Philo, I feel his comment is more useful than my answer anyway (Philo, feel free to write a full answer of your own) |

NXT Bluetooth “Failed!” when turning on Well, on the other hand LEGO usually doesn't put any "bad juju" in its toys - they're meant to be safe for kids after all. So even if it, erm, bricked your brick, you'd probably still be able to get a replacement. But if you're in doubt, then by all means, contact the customer service first. |

NXT Bluetooth “Failed!” when turning on As I understand it, your question is more "What does the hidden button under the NXT battery?" rather than the bluetooth issue - is that correct? |

Colouring bricks with the sun I'm surprised to see "white and blue" as most damaged colours - I would have spontaneously liste light gray rather than blue. No question on white, though. |

Colouring bricks with the sun Interesting, but somehow I don't think anyone has ever been perverse enough to study this thoroughly. |

How hard is it to get a job within the LEGO company, straight out of university as a graduate? See also the question How does one get a job as a LEGO designer? |

RCX 1.0 downloaded firmware successfully with RIS 2.0 but does not run any program This sounds like it could be a hardware problem. Do you by any chance have access to a RCX remote (or NXT with IRLink) to see if you can run programs that way? Can you actually download programs without trouble? (I'm not sure anymore if the standard RIS interface allows to start a program remotely, but if it does, you should try it too) |

Options for sorting old and new versions of colors Or you could just sell all old greys/browns to some fanatic. |

How do I unlock the daily surprises? The durability of LEGO products usually outlasts anything they do digitally, and this is no exception - as of april 2013, the action has long ended and the page to enter the code doesn't exist anymore. As such, this question isn't likely to help future visitors, hence the closing. |

Why does the pin recess on the Technic turntable continue to the edge of the part? Another good (if maybe more subtle) example of this is the pin joiner which now has a slot in the middle. That slot is similar to the recess seen in the other parts, in that it simplifies the moulding process greatly. (The previous version required two sub-parts to be assembled together, which is even worse than a mould with moving parts) |

Is there a place where you can buy single pieces of LEGO-compatible systems? I was under the impression that BrickLink could be used for clone brands too, but I was wrong: LEGO Products Only. And it goes on explicitely to: Other brand products such as MegaBloks are not allowed on this site |

Lego Mindstorms NXT software error Note: LEGO does not sponsorize, endorse or probably not even read this site, so saying things like "LEGO, I hope you're listening." is pointless. If you want LEGO to listen, you best bet is always to speak to them directly, via their customer service. |

How to simulate Lego Mindstorms programs written in C#? I'm not sure a simulator would be able to properly mimic the physical aspects of a robot; but it's an intriguing idea. Sadly, I don't know if anyone has ever done this. |

What glue should I use for permanent LEGO construction? While MEK is indeed what LEGOland parks use, keep in mind that it does indeed fuse bricks together (don't even think about disassembling the model, ever); and more importantly that its fumes are dangerous. |

What element modifications are incorporated by the LEGOLAND builders? The first one isn't true any longer - they can only order parts which are currently in production (for sets thus). Note they may still have some stock of older parts produced in colours never released in sets; but new part orders are strictly limited. |
